Carol’s work reflects the diversity of her personal experiences; her lifelong interest in the out of doors is depicted in many of her paintings. Her paintings portray the landscape and architecture of the urban landscape, small towns and rural settings and the natural world surrounding trails she hikes on her travels. 

“My current work focuses on landscapes that bring attention to the natural environment we often take for granted and ‘urban-scapes’, locations that we may pass by in our day-to-day city life without a second glance. It could be the familiar or something that I have just seen for the first time that inspires a painting – an impression of the setting. Often, I paint ‘en plein air’ finding it exhilarating and immediate. In each piece that I create, I hope to achieve a look that is painterly and fresh. ” — Carol
