and majesty because of their white petals.

Kareen Hague is an experimental fine artist based in Markham, ON, whose work blends painting with tactile, textile-driven techniques. Her art captures the essence of realism with an impressionistic touch, brought to life through richly layered surfaces. Kareen builds her canvases using paper, mediums, stitched elements, and sculpted cotton fabrics—creating unexpected texture that amplifies depth and colour. She works with both traditional and non-traditional mark-making tools, combining paint, thread, and fabric to create dimensional backgrounds and intricate details that invite viewers to explore her work up close.
