Club House Lot

Michael Cavanaugh’s works typically depict urban margins and outskirts. He attempts to find the extraordinary in the ordinary, taking a closer look at the overlooked. His paintings capture moments of stillness and evoke feelings of suspension and imminence. A life-long student of composition, light and colour, he explores the contrast between natural and manmade spaces. 

Michael lives and works in Toronto and, in addition to his paintings, has created a number of murals throughout Toronto. His works with the Bell Box Mural Project can be found in communities across Southern Ontario and Quebec.
