She is drawn to the interplay of colour, texture, and form to create pieces \u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003ethat elicit a sense of movement. Each painting begins as an instinctual response to a thought or feeling, \u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eevolving through layers of experimentation and discovery.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eBarbara’s recent series of floral-inspired paintings is more about the feelings evoked by flowers, rather \u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003ethan a literal representation. This allows for the viewer to make their own connections.
