My love for interiors and architecture inspires my work as I aim to create beauty from my surroundings. My studio is in our old 60’s side-split house where I live with my husband, daughter and our dog, Homie.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eI began painting in 2010 and have had a brush in my hand ever since. I graduated in 2009 with my interior design degree and went back to school in 2011 and graduated with a bachelor’s degree in drawing and painting from OCAD University in Toronto, Ontario. I take inspiration from everyday life: walks through the neighborhood, drives through the country, riding transit through the city. Every space I move through inspires me to recreate the experience with my artwork. My landscapes aren’t literal or realist, they are about the feeling and emotion of a space. I love playing with colour combinations and often use unexpected colours in my work.
